Happy St. Patrick's Day

Tomorrow, Monday, March 17 is St. Patrick's day. The first time in a very, very long time that it has fallen on Holy week. Such an early Easter is making for a very unusual season. May everyone feel the the hand of Christ upon you during this blessed Holy week.

A very quiet week in Burkina. I don't know if things are over or just refueling. They arrested the leader of the movement in the almost 200 arrests and he has been sentenced to 3 years of prison. Definitely a harsh punishment by western standards. Please go to http://africaflak.blogspot.com for good coverage of this.
People are very, very unhappy there. Only time will tell what is going to happen.
Update: There was a demonstration on Saturday. This time, however, it was peaceful. I think the number was around 20,000who participated.

Delilah and Stephanie's computer finally found it's way to the them. I guess it has been sitting in a corner at the post office getting piled with junk. Thankfully, after much discussion with the postal clerks in a way only a grandmother can have, they located it. It was covered with dust, but otherwise unharmed.

I will cover Merry's cruise as soon as she is feeling better. She had a great time, but came home pretty sick.

Ice season is now over and mud season has commenced! Joy!
